Bruno Mars shares video joking that Lady Gaga is helping him get out of debt with collaboration

Bruno Mars doesn’t shy away from the memes he posts on his latest Instagram post.

Earlier this month, Mars and Lady Gaga released “Die With a Smile,” a soft-rock collaboration released in preparation for Mother Monster’s upcoming seventh studio album.

It is also the first single Mars has released since allegations surfaced in March that the 38-year-old singer owed MGM Resorts $50 million in gambling debt.

The 15-time Grammy Award winner, who announced in 2016 that he would be performing at the hotel giant’s Park MGM resort in Las Vegas for several years, is said to have racked up large debts at the poker tables.

In a statement to Complex, MGM Resorts International called the speculation “completely false” and clarified that he has “no debt to MGM.”

There has been no shortage of memes since the fake news started making the rounds online. But now it seems the internet is back to joking in light of the new single.

While Mars shared fan art inspired by “Die With a Smile” on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, he also shared a video of a woman dancing in her living room to the new single with the caption, “Lady Gaga on her way to getting Bruno Mars out of debt.”

The 24K Magic singer spoke about the gambling debt rumors when he met the Las Vegas Review-JournalJohn Katsilometes in an interview published earlier this month.

“I like the lore that I’m a Las Vegas lounge singer who owes money to the mob. I can work with that,” Mars joked.

Aside from his new single with Gaga, Mars told the newspaper he is determined to “land the plane” with his ideas for Vegas, including the Pinky Ring cocktail bar he designed for the Bellagio Resort.

“If you look at the Pinky Ring, I’ve been working on that for years. A lot of things had to be moved around to make that happen,” Mars said. “I have a lot of plans, especially for Vegas, and I’m just getting started. That’s what I have to say, okay? Just wait and see what I do next.”
