Wearing a baseball cap and a black Adidas sweater (no hoodie), Bill Belichick watched an important American football game between Bergen Catholic and IMG Academy on Thursday night.

Belichick, a six-time Super Bowl-winning coach with the New England Patriots, watched the game from the lower level of the press box at Carey Stadium, just off the Ocean City boardwalk in the shadow of the Ferris wheel at Wonderland Pier.

The match between Bergen Catholic and IMG Academy, ranked 19th and 9th respectively in the last USA TODAY Super 25, was the main event of the fourth annual Battle at the Beach event.

IMG Academy won 27-14 after scoring three touchdowns in the second half.

Belichick mentioned this game back in April on the Pat McAfee Show during the first round of the NFL Draft. He said, “If we want to see a great high school game next year, I’ll tell you: IMG vs. Bergen Catholic, August 29th in Ocean City, New Jersey.”

The 72-year-old had time to watch some high school football in August after retiring from the NFL after last season. He started in the league as an assistant coach in 1975.
