The Week 5 festivities for “College GameDay” feature one of the biggest games of the season as the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Georgia Bulldogs in a top-five SEC showdown.

The clash is a new addition to a long list of pivotal matchups between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs. Of the past eight games between the two powers, four have determined the SEC champion and two have determined the national champion.

Georgia and Alabama haven’t faced off in the regular season since 2020, when the eventual national champion Crimson Tide outscored the Bulldogs 21-0 in the second half en route to a 41-24 victory.
