Bank of America customers reported Wednesday that they have had problems accessing their bank accounts.

Reports of a problem at Bank of America peaked around 12:45 a.m. ET on Downdetector, which collects outage data.

Many customers complained that they could not see their account balance. Some who accessed their accounts were shocked to see a zero balance.

Bank of America did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Several CNN employees with Bank of America accounts were unable to log into their accounts online. A message displayed for a Bank of America customer said the current balance amount for one or more accounts “may be temporarily unavailable.”

“Five accounts show zero balances, over 20,000,” a Bank of America customer wrote on Downdetector.

Another said he can’t log in, but his wife can and her accounts have no balance.

“Shows my guilt fine,” said another user.
