TEHRAN – Iranian para-powerlifter Mohsen Bakhtiar won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games on Thursday.

Egypt’s Mohamed Elmenyawy won gold in the men’s 59kg powerlifting competition with 201kg and China’s Qi Yongkai won silver with 200kg.

Bakhtiar finished in third place with a weight of 197 kg.

The match took place at the La Chapelle Arena.
