Bitcoin Magazine is pleased to announce that veteran reporter and author Aaron van Wirdum has been appointed Editor-in-Chief, a position he previously held from 2021 to 2022.

The appointment follows his 2020 sabbatical to write “The Genesis Book: The Story of the People and Projects That Inspired Bitcoin,” which was published in 2024 by Bitcoin Magazine Books.

Van Wirdum is known for his coverage of Bitcoin privacy, scalability, Core releases, and more since 2013. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Bitcoin Magazine newsroom. Van Wirdum is an industry pioneer and the industry’s leading tech reporter.

Van Wirdum will lead the editorial team and produce high-quality, insightful content on the most important topics discussed in Bitcoin. He will also take a leading role in the publication of the quarterly magazine, which reaches thousands of subscribers.

His deep knowledge of the technical and economic aspects of Bitcoin will undoubtedly benefit the publication’s reporting and analysis, providing readers with reliable and informative content.
