Atlanta Dream vs Las Vegas Aces Odds, Picks & Predictions

The Atlanta Dream (10-20) and Las Vegas Aces (12/18) meet Friday at the Michelob Ultra Arena at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Tipoff is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET (ION). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Chances Dream vs. Acesand make our expert WNBA predictions.

Season Series: Draw 1-1

After a three-game winning streak following the Olympic break, the Dream have lost three straight, including their road trip opener in Seattle on Wednesday. However, the Dream did cover the 8.5-point spread as underdogs in an 85-81 loss to the Storm as the Over (156.5) cashed.

Atlanta has had a lot of success on foreign soil lately. In their last eight road games, they have gone 6-1-1 against the spread (ATS) while the Over-Under scores in those games have been 4-4.

The Aces have also struggled lately, winning just once in their last four outings. Vegas lost 93-90 in Dallas on Tuesday night, despite the fact that A’ja Wilson scored 42 points on 16 of 22 shooting. She also had 6 rebounds, 3 blocked shots and 2 assists with a steal in 37 minutes.

Las Vegas has gone just 2-5 straight up (SU) in its last 7 games, and has failed to win in its previous 9 games.

These teams last met on July 12 in Atlanta, with the Aces winning 84-70, but the Dream held on for the cover as 14.5-point underdogs at most outlets. The Under (169.5) cashed in that one, as well as the first meeting in Atlanta on May 31, with Atlanta winning 78-74 as an 8-point ‘dog in that one.

Dream Aces Picks and Predictions

Prediction

Aces 83, Dream 76

Moneyline

Playing in Las Vegas (-700) and risking 7x your potential return is a very risky proposition. First, the Aces haven’t played very good basketball and second, it’s never a good idea to risk so much for such a small return.

Even as part of a multi-bet bet, you will lose all value of your ticket if you bet on the Aces.

PREVENT.

Against the spread

To take ATLANTA +10.5 (-112) more than 5 buckets caught in battle on Friday.

The Dream have been red-hot away from home, at least by the numbers, going 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games away from home. Meanwhile, the -10.5 (-108) Aces have failed to cover in 9 straight games. While Las Vegas is certainly coming, it hasn’t shown any signs of emerging from its slump of late.

Over/Under

UNDER 165.5 (-110) is a solid move, as long as Wilson doesn’t lose for the second time in a row.

Even with Wilson’s stellar stats, the Over (181) barely connected in the 93-90 loss at Dallas, and the Wings have been significantly worse than the Dream defensively. The Under is still 7-3 in the Aces’ last 10 games, including their most recent matchup with the Dream on July 12.

For the Dream, the Under has a 3-1-1 run in their last 5 games, while they had a 7-3-1 run in their previous 11 games.
