Well, this wild card series was pretty emblematic of the Braves’ season as a whole. The absence of injuries was deeply felt, the luck of the batted ball was unfortunate, the order was poor, runners were stranded and they did not score enough runs. This season wasn’t what it could have been for such a talented club, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Nevertheless, this team should be set up to be really good next season. Shortstop and the starting rotation will likely be in the spotlight this season, as Orlando Arcia hasn’t had a convincing season and the Braves will likely part ways with franchise heroes Max Fried and Charlie Morton.
