Arizona Cardinals vs Buffalo Bills Score Updates for NFL Week 1 Game

The Arizona Cardinals open their 2024 NFL regular season with a Week 1 NFL game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, September 8.

The Cardinals were 4-13 last season. The Bills went 11-6.

Allen is 5-for-5 passing for 76 yards. He has three carries for 20 yards. He has two sacks and a fumble.

Murray leads the Cardinals with 29 rushing yards on three carries. James Cook leads Buffalo with 49 yards on eight carries.

Cardinals running back James Conner was the workhorse on the team’s first drive, but the ball went to Michael Wilson for the touchdown.

By the end of the second quarter, the Cardinals were crumbling down the field with Trey Benson at running back. The rookie had three carries for 19 yards. But when it came time to put the ball in the end zone, it was Conner time.

Conner came in to carry the ball 3 yards for a touchdown. Matt Prater added the run after for a 17-3 lead.

The first pass thrown to Cardinals rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. bounced off the receiver’s hands.

The Cardinals went straight back to Harrison on the next play for a gain of 4 yards.

A touchdown by Bills QB Josh Allen was negated by an offensive face mask penalty. The Bills had to settle for a 37-yard field goal.

It was the second disappointing drive for the home team, who lost the first possession of the ball.

The Cardinals outscored the Bills 120-76 and dominated time of possession.

Allen is 2-for-2 passing for 37 yards. James Cook has 49 yards on eight carries.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is 10-for-11 with 87 yards and a touchdown. He leads the team in rushing with two carries for 17 yards.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen fumbled on a sack. The ball was recovered by Justin Jones for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals worked their way to Buffalo’s 12-yard line before the drive stalled.

Arizona used that bonus possession to convert a 29-yard field goal via Matt Prater.

Matt Prater bounced a kickoff to the Buffalo 2-yard line where Bills Brandon Codrington picked it up. He returned the ball 53 yards.

The Bills began their first offensive series at the Arizona 45-yard line.

Kyler Murray completed a 5-yard pass to Michael Wilson for the Cardinals’ first TD of the young season. Matt Prater’s punt afterward made it 7-0.

The drive covered 70 yards and consisted of 13 plays.

Murray was 4-for-5 for 44 yards on the drive. Marvin Harrison Jr. was targeted once along the sideline but did not catch the ball.

The drive extended on a third down play where Murray had to run 6 yards before sliding. The Bills were penalized for unnecessary roughness, giving the Cardinals 10 yards and a first down.

Running back James Conner had the first five touches for the Arizona Cardinals with three carries and two catches. After Kyler Murray completed an 8-yard pass to Greg Dortch, the ball went to Conner again.

In the first 4 minutes of the game, Conner had 40 yards.
