Is it better to buy a new console on Prime Day or Black Friday?

Last year we also saw the launch of the PS5 Slim during the long Black Friday sale. As we said, Sony quickly refreshed the mid-generation with Spider-Man 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. That was the most popular deal of Black Friday, and a good indicator that it could be worth waiting for a decent console deal.

It’s also worth keeping, as the PS5 Pro could take more of the spotlight on Black Friday, or usher in bundle deals or price drops for every other PS5 when it’s regularly available. For now, when it comes to Prime Day in October versus Black Friday, the answer is: go with your gut. If $50 off the PS5 Slim during Prime Big Deal Days seems like a good deal to you, it’s still a pretty rare sight and definitely worth taking advantage of while you can.
