The pay increases will go into effect this month for the hundreds of thousands of workers who work for Amazon’s sprawling logistics operation, bringing the average base wage to more than $22 an hour, the company said in a blog post Wednesday.

Employees will get Prime, Amazon’s fast delivery and video subscription service, starting “early next year,” the company said.
