Al B. Sure! Calls for Investigation into Death of Diddy’s Ex Kim Porter

A week after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, New Jack swing singer Al B. Sure! took to Instagram to detail what he alleges is a vast conspiracy surrounding the 2018 death of model-turned-actress Kim Porter, his former flame and then, after their breakup, the recently incarcerated mogul’s on-again, off-again partner, whose alleged knowledge of his alleged sex trafficking led to her death, the R&B singer suggests in his call for an investigation.

On Monday, Al B. Sure!, whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown, described what he said was the work of multiple individuals who surrounded Brown at the time of her death from lobar pneumonia. In the four messages, which include images of the former couple and pages from her memoir, Brown refers to Porter’s 2018 death as a “tragic murder.”

“In short, Kimberly should have been taken from us because she was on her way to accomplishing what Ms. Cassie Ventura did by lighting the bonfire (sic) that brings us here today,” Brown wrote.

In his call for an investigation by authorities, Brown suggests that anyone who was in the vicinity of Porter’s home, particularly publicists, should be questioned by police, accusing them of conspiring to prevent Porter’s book from being published. He claims this involved swapping pages of her manuscript with other pages so that inflammatory details were never published. Brown claims he learned what Porter intended to include in her memoirs through “frequent and intimate conversations in her selfless efforts to save my life.”

Brown also alleges that he was ignored by authorities for years as they tried to expose the alleged cover-up, and was even “medically silenced” when he tried to reveal the truth. In 2023, he fell into a coma after being intubated while hospitalized for multiple illnesses. He received a liver transplant and survived the ordeal, which he described on Instagram as “multi-organ failure, septic, intubated, on a ventilator for 38 days, and forced to visit death’s doorstep.”

Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, California, home in 2018 after days of flu-like symptoms. The coroner initially listed Porter’s cause of death as “delayed” but later changed it to lobar pneumonia. Porter and Diddy were in an on-and-off relationship until 2017; in addition to their three children with Diddy—Christian Combs and twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs—Porter had a son, Quincy Brown, with Brown.

In his four Instagram posts, Brown references allegedly stolen notes intended to be included in Porter’s memoir and claims that her devices, including a computer, are missing, suggesting some sort of cover-up surrounding the book and her death. Brown’s mentions of Ventura and a “recently released public charging document” further unsubtly suggest that Combs is involved in Porter’s death, ostensibly to keep certain details from her memoir under wraps.

“Ms. Porter’s missing devices, which are alleged to be in evidence, undeniably contain crucial evidence that has been concealed. I am confident that the evidence closely matches the details set forth in the recently released public charging document. Furthermore, it is pertinent to note that the individuals involved in this case may also have been involved in covering up the alleged murders of several prominent entertainers,” Brown wrote, adding cryptically that “many were baffled” but that entertainment industry insiders “should have a clearer understanding of the obvious.”

An email sent to Combs Global seeking comment from a representative for the jailed mogul received no response Monday. Combs has been in custody for a week following his arrest on federal human trafficking and RICO charges.
