50 Cent mocks New York Mayor Eric Adams over federal charges

As 50 Cent once rapped, “When It Rains It Pours.” After continuously harassing Diddy about his arrest, G-Unit responded to Eric Adams’ complaint on Thursday (September 26).

With a documentary about Diddy’s allegations already on the way, 50 teased his fans by asking if he should make a separate doc about the New York mayor’s legal troubles and turbulent tenure.

50 reposted a clip from September 2023 in which Mayor Adams referred to himself as the “Bad Boy of politics” before handing Diddy the keys to New York City, which he revoked in June following a slew of lawsuits against the Bad Boy CEO.

‘It’s getting crazy in here! Do you want a docuseries about Eric Adams? I want to know what’s going on here,” he captioned the clip.

Uncle Murda laughed in the comments, while ’50s fans seemed to get the idea. “50 may be the funniest non-comedian who ever lived. I applaud him,” one person wrote. “These documentaries are getting fyah,” another added.

According to CNNEric Adams was hit with five federal charges on Wednesday (September 25) for “bribery, wire fraud, conspiracy and soliciting campaign contributions” from foreign parties. The alleged illegal actions date back to 2014.

“For nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businessmen and from at least one Turkish government official who sought to gain influence over him,” the indictment reads.

On Wednesday (25 September) Variety reported that 50 Cent’s Diddy docuseries will call Netflix home. The untitled doc will focus on Combs’ lawsuits, allegations of sexual assault and abuse, as well as his recent federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

50 is on board as executive producer through its G-Unit Film & Television division, with Alexandria Stapleton directing. “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex story that spans decades, not just the headlines or snippets seen so far,” Stapleton said in a joint statement. Variety. “We remain steadfast in our commitment to giving voice to the voiceless and presenting authentic and nuanced perspectives.”

A spokesperson for 50 Cent previously confirmed this Billboard that proceeds from the project will go towards helping victims of sexual assault and rape.
