49ers News: Jake Moody Gives the Niners First Scorigami of the Year

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the New York Jets in convincing fashion on Monday night. Jordan Mason made people forget about Christian McCaffrey for a while, while Brock Purdy played point guard and the 49ers scored at will.

On the other side of the ball, the defense was effective, letting Aaron Rodgers go all out while shutting down New York’s big guns Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson. It was a team victory that included multiple field goals from Jake Moody.

Was a 32-19 win impressive? Of course it was. Is that the most remarkable thing that happened tonight? Absolutely not. We had an NFL Scorigami—when the score in a game is one that has never been seen before—thanks to the unique score.

Six field goals in one game certainly throws the score into disarray. But the Jets also scored touchdowns on two separate occasions without converting the point after the attempt.

Of course, the 49ers would love to improve their efficiency when they get on their opponent’s turf, but thanks to Moody, we now have the 108th unique final score in NFL history.
