$0 account balances, other issues reported

According to Downdetector, the peak of the disruptions was around 1 p.m. Some customers reported problems accessing their accounts.

Customers who use Bank of America reported Wednesday they were having trouble accessing their bank accounts.

According to the website Downdetector, reports of problems peaked around 1:00 PM ET, when approximately 20,266 outages were reported.

People complain that their account balances are not visible in the app, while others say they can access their accounts but see a $0 balance.

“App not working and online banking showing yesterday’s balance,” said a user on Downdetector.

“Both app and browser access to BoA remains at least partially disabled for us,” said another user. “Can now see some of our accounts, but not all. And the transfer between accounts feature remains non-functional for all accounts.”

As of 3:37 PM ET, Downdetector reports showed some improvement, with approximately 3,600 outages reported.

Bank of America did not immediately return USA TODAY’s request for comment Wednesday.
