Cryptic Davante Adams tweet sends NFL fans into meltdown as Raiders star appears to tease his new team

Davante Adams seemingly dropped a huge hint about who his next team will be with a cryptic Instagram post on Friday.

The Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver is expected to be traded with a host of potential landing spots at his mercy.

The New York Jets and a reunion with Aaron Rodgers were heavily linked, but if Adams’ Instagram Story is any indication, he won’t be in the Big Apple.

Adams shared a photo of Edgar Allen Poe, whose poem “The Raven” inspired the name of the Baltimore Ravens.

Adams also shared a quote from Poe: “Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see.”

A move to the Ravens would be a huge step forward for Baltimore, which started the season as one of the favorites for Super Bowl glory but has so far stalled in the first four games of the season.

They lost their opener to Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and then were surprisingly defeated 26-23 by the Raiders in Week 2 – with Adams scoring a touchdown. The Raiders are also 2-2 on the season.

The 31-year-old Adams reportedly told the Raiders on Monday that he wants to leave, sparking a pursuit by the NFL to get him. The NFL website said earlier this week that he favored a move to the Jets and rejoining Rodgers.

Poe, however, moved to New York, but he is buried in Baltimore and is most closely associated with that city.

Adams played alongside Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers until 2021, when he left for Vegas on a five-year contract worth $141 million.

The Raiders play the Broncos in Denver on Sunday, while the Ravens are in Cincinnati to play the Bengals.
