    Mike Evans made history in the second quarter of the clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons Thursday night football.

    Evans recorded the 100th touchdown of his career, catching a pass from Baker Mayfield for a 23-yard score.

    It was his second score of the game, as he found the end zone earlier to tie the game in the first quarter.

    99 of his career touchdowns have come through the air, with one being the result of a fumble during the 2018 season. Evans became the 26th player in NFL history to reach 100 scores, according to Scott Smith of the official website of the team.

    He also surpassed Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Michael Irvin for No. 30 on the league’s all-time receiving yards list.

    Evans has been consistent throughout his career, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in every season since he was drafted by Tampa Bay with a first-round pick in 2014. He has also developed into a red zone threat in recent years, with 51 touchdown grabs. since the start of his 2020 campaign.

    The five-time Pro Bowl receiver finished the first half with four catches for 49 yards in addition to his pair of scores.
