Sony confirms PlayStation Network is offline: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PS Vita and older models affected

Is your PlayStation Network (PSN) down? You’re not alone. The PlayStation Network is facing a global outage and has also affected the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PS Vita and some older models. Sony has also confirmed the glitch and says it is working to resolve the issue. “You may have trouble launching games, apps, or network functions. We will do our best to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” reads the Sony PSN status page.

According to the PSN service status page, “some services are experiencing issues,” including issues with account management –– logging into the account, creating an account, and editing account information. This problem is faced by PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5 and Internet users. Sony has also confirmed that users are also experiencing issues streaming games on PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5 and web platforms. “You may have trouble launching games, apps, or network functions,” the website reads.

Additionally, the outage also affected the PlayStation Store, including issues with purchasing titles, downloading, browsing, searching and redeeming vouchers. This issue also affects PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, Internet and other users.

Many PlayStation fans have shared their frustration about the outage on social media.

The response from one user caught our attention, who said it was their only day off a week and they couldn’t play games on their PlayStation due to the network outage.
