Ryan Williams: Zabien Brown said he would pick Georgia while playing ‘CFB 25’ Friday | News, scores, highlights, stats and rumors

Playing EA Sports College Football 25 brought some clairvoyance to Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown.

After the Crimson Tide’s dramatic 41-34 victory over Georgia on Saturday, Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams revealed that Brown called what turned out to be his game-winning interception when they played the video game on Friday.

“So this morning I was like, ‘Bro, are you going to make a pick?’” Williams said, according to ESPN’s Chris Low. “And he said, ‘Of course that’s what I’m going to try to do.’ Next thing you know, he has the game-winning interception. I thought, ‘Man, we called it.’ I screamed. That’s how I lost my voice because I was screaming.”

It was Williams’ incredible 75-yard touchdown that put the Crimson Tide ahead with just over two minutes remaining, and Brown then clinched the win by picking off Georgia quarterback Carson Beck in the end zone on the ensuing possession.

It’s a testament to Alabama’s recruiting and program as a whole that two freshmen in Williams and Brown had the biggest performances in what has been the game of the year so far.

Williams is only 17 years old, but that didn’t stop him from recording six catches for 177 yards and the game-winning touchdown. And Brown posted six tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass deflection and the interception that sealed the dramatic victory.

It didn’t seem like the Crimson Tide would need those clutch plays for much of the game.

They jumped out to a commanding 28-0 lead early in the second quarter and took a 30-7 lead into the locker room at halftime after a safety. Still, Carson Beck threw three touchdowns in the second half, the last of which went 67 yards to Dillon Bell to put the Bulldogs ahead with just over two minutes remaining.

Thus, it appeared the Bulldogs would leave the SEC clash with a road win that would resonate for the rest of the season.

On the first play of the scrimmage after Bell’s go-ahead signal, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe threw a deep ball to Williams. The talented freshman made a leaping and contested catch, then spun past two Bulldogs defenders and ran the rest of the way for the memorable touchdown.

Brown then picked up the win with the pick as Georgia marched down the field to potentially force overtime.

Just like they drew it while playing a video game.
