Washington Football earns the medal for Longest Travel Distance for Week 5 of the college football season.

The Huskies will play their first-ever Big Ten road game against Rutgers at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey. This is Washington’s second ever trip to New Jersey, with the Huskies defeating the Scarlet Knights 30-14 on September 1, 2017. Washington is 2-0 all-time against Rutgers.

After an Apple Cup loss in Week 3, Washington bounced back with a defensively dominant 24-5 win over Northeastern in Seattle last week. The Huskies limited the Wildcats to just 112 yards of total offense and forced two turnovers in the win. Will Rogers went 20-for-28 passing for 223 yards and two touchdowns.

Rutgers is off to a 3-0 start after an impressive 26-23 victory over the ACC’s Virginia Tech last week. Running backs Kyle Monangai and Samuel Brown combined for 144 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the road victory. The Scarlet Knights’ opening conference is Friday.
