Taylor Swift seems to have skipped the encouragement Travis Kelce when the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Atlanta Falcons.

Swift, 34, attended the Chiefs’ first two NFL games of the 2024 season to support Kelce, 34. But he appeared to be absent from the Chiefs’ third-round game against the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Fortunately for Chiefs fans, the absence of the game did not affect the team’s performance as the Chiefs defeated the Falcons 22-17.

Swift was spotted out and about with girlfriends in New York City on Saturday, September 21, with Page Six obtaining photos of Swift and Gigi Hadid “grabbing dinner” at The Corner Store restaurant in Manhattan. Swift is currently taking a break from her Eras Tourwhich will be completed on December 8.

But while it appears the singer wasn’t able to show her support for the Chiefs in person last week, the team still had Swift in mind. Referring to Swift’s surprise acceptance speech to Kelce at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 11, the Chiefs wrote via X on Sunday, “Happiness. Fun. Magic,” alongside a photo of Kelce arriving at the match in Atlanta.

In the photo, Kelce looked handsome in black pants, a white shirt, a black tie and a black jacket.

Swift’s acceptance speech came after she won the Video of the Year award for “Fortnight” from her Department of Tormented Poets album. “The thing is, this video looks really sad when you watch it, but it was actually the most fun video to make,” Swift said at the time. “One thing I’ll always remember is that when I finished a take and I said ‘cut,’ and we were done with that take, I would always hear someone go ‘woo’ from the other side of the studio where we were recording it, and that person was my boyfriend, Travis.”

She continued: “Everything this man touches turns into happiness, joy and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I will always remember that.”

Swift and Kelce started dating in the summer of 2023. As their relationship progressed, both stars were a pillar of support for each other.

Kelce lived a series of Eras Tour shows around the world, even appearing on stage during the London leg of the tour in June. The tight end surprised fans by joining dancers Kam Saunders And Jan Ravnik to lift Swift up as she sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

Swift has been keeping a close eye on Kelce from her private suites since her first appearance at a Chiefs game in September 2023.

During last week’s game against Cincinnati, she was even spotted fanning herself as Kelce walked onto the court.
