West Virginia vs. Kansas faces weather delay after lightning strike in Morgantown

Saturday afternoon match between West Virginia And Kansas has been caught in a weather delay with 10:43 remaining in the fourth quarter. Lightning was spotted near Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

Under NCAA rules, the game cannot resume until 30 minutes have passed since the last time lightning struck within eight miles of the stadium. The Jayhawks were ahead 21-17 at the time of the delay.

This is the second time this season that WVU has had a home game postponed due to weather, after the season opener against Penn State was also halted due to lightning. That delay was more than two hours, so here’s hoping this game is a little quicker.
