(WSAZ) – The severe drought and heat of summer 2024 brought another day of highs of 90 degrees on Friday, with Charleston beating Huntington by just 1 degree in official weather records. At the same time, a smidge of moisture from former Hurricane Francine provided a few meager sprinkles across the region.
