    McDonald’s Gives Out 50-Cent Double Cheeseburgers for National Cheeseburger Day

    McDonald’s has a fun offer to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day.

    On Wednesday, September 18, the restaurant chain is selling double cheeseburgers for just 50 cents in honor of the foodie holiday. Customers can take advantage of the deal by ordering through the McDonald’s app.

    This isn’t the only discount McDonald’s is offering. The $5 Meal Deal will also remain on the menu through December. The popular deal includes a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, fries, chicken McNuggets and a soft drink.

    At the time, McDonald’s president said in a statement that they had heard their fans “loud and clear.” “They expect even more value from us, and this summer, that’s exactly what they’ll get,”

    McDonald’s summer deals are also here to stay. In June, the chain announced it would be handing out free fries every Friday through 2024.

    Free Fries Friday, which officially started in July, has become a popular deal among fans, allowing customers to get a medium Fries for a minimum spend of $1.

    The company has been going through a lot of changes in recent months. On September 4, McDonald’s announced that they would be giving the McFlurry a makeover, creating a miniature version of the frozen treat.

    The sustainable packaging rolled out in restaurants across the country from September 10, along with Mini McFlurrys, which are reportedly a third smaller than the original McFlurry.

    Wendy’s is also offering a competitive National Cheeseburger Day deal for the holiday. The chain’s Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger is just 1 cent off any purchase from Sept. 18 to Sept. 22.

    Burger King is also giving away free cheeseburgers with every purchase on September 18.
