OMAHA, Nebraska (KMTV) — UPDATE: 1:15 p.m.

According to Omaha police, there is no danger to the public and a suspect has been located and arrested.
The school is now safe, but the lockdown will remain in effect for the time being.

Omaha police have confirmed a shooting at Northwest High School. The shooting was reported just before 12:30 p.m. and the school was placed on lockdown.

The school remains on lockdown as police search for the suspect. OPS says the closure will remain in effect while the investigation continues.
