Dave Bautista Embraces Excess in Gucci Suit and Pearl Necklace at TIFF

Dave Bautista made a dazzling entrance when he walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday for his latest film, “The Last Showgirl.” The wrestler-turned-actor, better known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” embraced a tailored silhouette thanks to his role as mild-mannered Vegas show producer Eddie in the film starring Pamela Anderson.

Bautista wore the Gucci GG Cotton Viscose Formal Suit and Pant in black when he walked the red carpet. The suit, which Bautista previously wore in July during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” is made from a cotton-viscose blend and features a subtle sheen and an allover logo. He finished the look with a dark gray boatneck shirt underneath the jacket and shiny black dress shoes.

He accessorized the breathable suit with a ton of accessories. He wore Gucci sunglasses and hung four strands of pearls around his neck. The strands also included sections of three diamonds, adding a shimmering touch to the mother-of-pearl sheen.

He also wore a silver watch on one wrist and a gold, diamond-encrusted bracelet from Jason of Beverly Hills, with whom Bautista has also collaborated before, on the other. He paired the gold bracelet with an identical one in silver.

Bautista has been a fan of Gucci for a while now, particularly the brand’s patterned jackets. He wore a cream version to the “Dune: Part Two” premiere in February. On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last month, he wore the Gucci Horsebit wool-silk jacquard jacket from the brand’s Cruise 2024 collection in burgundy. While promoting both “The Last Showgirl” and “The Killer’s Game,” he’s been spotted in the brand’s metallic jacquard cotton-blend cardigan all summer.

Bautista’s co-stars Pamela Anderson, Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song also opted for all-black ensembles. Anderson deconstructed the Sin City glamour of the Rat Pack in a black suit with feminine twists, complete with pointy heels.

Shipka, who plays one of Anderson’s protégés in the film, continued the showgirl theme in a black halter dress from the Elle Saab Resort 2025 collection, featuring a crochet bodice and an open back.

Song, who plays one of Anderson’s “girls” alongside Shipka, wore a floor-length gown with laser cutouts on each hip. Chain-like crystals attached to the bodice gave the ensemble a showgirl sheen.
