The Browns won the toss and deferred, putting the ball in Dallas’ hands. A penalty to Jalen Tolbert and a sack on Dak Prescott made things tough against a fierce defense, so the Cowboys came away with a point.

A nice return put the Browns in position to do some damage, but they ran into some penalty trouble of their own, eventually opting for a field goal to secure the game’s first points.

However, the Cowboys got back to work and began feeding the CeeDee lamb well.

This put the team within striking distance and on third down Cleveland sent an all out blitz and paid dearly. Prescott found Brandin Cooks for the first touchdown of the season.

Cleveland and Dallas would trade points next, with the Browns doing so again just before the first quarter ended.
