‘Bachelorette’ Jenn Tran Calls Out Devin Strader After Broken Engagement and Breakup

Hell hath despised a single woman.

Jenn Tran came face to face with her ex-fiancé, Devin Strader, during the “After the Final Rose” special on Tuesday night’s season finale of “The Bachelorette,” just a month after he broke off their engagement in a 15-minute phone call.

Tran, 26, attacked Strader, 28, and criticized him for following former “The Bachelor” co-star Maria Georgas on Instagram the day after their split.

“What I can’t understand is everything you did after we broke off our engagement,” Tran said.

“Ending the engagement over a phone call, and the next day I wake up and you’re following girls on Instagram — not just any girl, but Maria[Georgas],” she continued. “Not only is that so disrespectful to everything we’ve shared together, I just don’t get it.”

“Why would you do something like that?” Tran asked Strader. “Because it completely invalidated our entire relationship, everything I felt for you, everything we felt for each other.”

Tran and Georgas, 30, both appeared on Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor” that aired earlier this year. Georgas, who finished in fourth place, confirmed on “Call Her Daddy” that she turned down the offer to become the next “Bachelorette,” so the job went to Tran, who became the first Asian American “Bachelorette.”

“Obviously I disappointed you,” Strader told Tran after she attacked him.

“And I can’t say anything else than that,” he added. “But everything I felt for you was real.”

Tran then had even harsher words for her ex: “I hope you learn that the weight of your words matters, and that if you make promises, you should be able to keep those promises,” she said.

“I just couldn’t have done what you did in that position,” the PA student continued. “And when I love something, I cherish it and appreciate it, and I don’t throw it away the next day.”

She also criticized Strader for going out with co-star Jeremy Simon in New York City, just hours after he broke up with her.

“Am I not allowed to have a life?” Stader defended himself, before admitting that he “fell short” of Tran’s needs when she said he didn’t “fight” for their relationship.

“The woman who stood there was willing to fight for love, was willing to give everything to a person, was willing to build a family, was willing to love and understand what it meant to love someone completely, to go through the hard times, to go through the happy times, to overcome every obstacle in life with someone, unwavering, no matter what,” Tran told him.

Tran made history by becoming the first “Bachelorette” lead actress to propose to the winner of her season, instead of her last choice.

However, the engagement did not last long.

During the “After the Final Rose” special, Tran was in tears as producers forced her to watch the proposal and then discuss the breakup with host Jesse Palmer and the audience.

“He basically said he didn’t love me anymore and he didn’t feel the same way anymore and that something wasn’t right since he proposed to me. He regretted getting engaged,” Tran revealed.

Strader was then brought on stage and the exes discussed their differences on live television.
