MANHATTAN — Kansas State’s 2024 regular season football season begins Saturday night with a home game against Tennessee-Martin at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

K-State is once again a favorite in the Big 12 after posting a 9-4 overall record last year. The Wildcats failed to return to the conference championship game, finishing fourth in the league at 6-3, but bounced back to close the season with a 28-19 Pop-Tarts Bowl victory over North Carolina State.

The Wildcats were picked second behind newcomer Utah in a Big 12 preseason media poll. For the second straight year, they enter the season ranked in both national polls, No. 17 in the U.S. LBM Coaches Top 25 and No. 18 in the Associated Press.

They face a UT-Martin team that finished 8-3 last year and claimed its third straight championship in the inaugural Big South-Ohio Valley Conference season. The Skyhawks received votes in the FCS preseason rankings.
