Dangerous heat and humidity continue into the workweek

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Not only did temperatures soar above 100 degrees on Sunday, but it was also the hottest day of the year with temperatures reaching 104 degrees. That beats the high of 103 on June 24!

Unfortunately, the heat will continue on Monday. Heat warnings are in effect for the afternoon and evening, as temperatures are expected to range from 100-110 degrees. As a result, the 10/11 Weather Center has issued a new Weather Alert Day. Be sure to stay hydrated, especially on your way home from school when the heat and humidity are at their most extreme.
