A POPULAR Love Island couple have announced they are splitting.

Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad both shared the same statements on social media tonight confirming that they are no longer together.

Tanya wrote in her statement: “Hi everyone, I regret to inform you that Shaq and I are no longer together and have separated.

“We wish each other all the best and can’t thank you enough for loving us so much so far! Thank you.”

Last month, fans discovered that Tanya had deleted most of Shaq’s photos from her profile Instagram and later the two unfollowed each other.

There were rumors that the couple, who met on the show in 2023, had split, but an insider told us they were working hard to save the relationship.

The source said at the time: “Tanya has made it clear to her friends that she is still with Shaq.

“Yes, she unfollowed him and the couple had a huge fight, but that’s nothing they can’t fix.”

However, their problems were too great to overcome.

Tanya decided to unfollow Shaq after he went on a guys’ holiday with fellow Love Island star Dami Hope.

“Tanya was not happy with Shaq’s behavior on vacation. His communication was really not what it should have been,” the insider said.

“He was seen looking very closely at another girl. There was nothing wrong, but it looked bad.

“She blames Dami for pushing him to act a bit stupid and also sharing the photo.

“It’s pretty much all over now and Shaq even spent the weekend with Tanya’s family.”

Shaq also made his feelings about the situation clear with a post on Instagram that read, “Woman. Period.”

The couple met at the winter edition of Love Island last year and finished in fourth place.

Despite Tanya claiming to be in love with Shaq, who she had been in a relationship with from the start, she had an affair with Casa bombshell Martin Akinola and brought him back to the villa.

Tanya later said she was shocked by the public’s reaction, but that she did not regret her decision, claiming that it made her realize that she was after Shaq.

She said: “It was actually a good thing I did that because when we came back I realised: no, this is not for me.

“I didn’t think it would be a big problem outside. I was more worried about the inside.

“I thought, ‘Are these people going to hate me when I come back?’ But I had to admit it. Not everyone is going to like everything you choose.

“But I thought, I’m sorry, but how can you afford to go to Casa Amor and not take him back, because now I just think, what if?

“In my head I thought, I’ll take Martin back and see if it goes anywhere, but I’m still getting to know Shaq. But with people’s feelings, it doesn’t work that way.”

After leaving the villa, Shaq defended his girl and demanded she get a villain edit.

Earlier this year, rumors of their engagement even arose after a video showed the handsome man getting down on one knee.
