Making emblems in Team Fight Tactics is going all out as Riot Games announces the Golden Frying Pan mechanic on August 23, coming to live servers via Patch 14.18.

One of the most powerful mechanisms within TFT is the use of a Spatula to create property emblems, whether you want to play a god-level vertical Set 12 comp like Eldritch or Portal. Emblems are also created to splash powerful abilities to end game compositions that are normally not possible. The launch of Set 12 featured fewer Spatula appearances, especially on Carousels. But creating Emblems in TFT is set to change with the addition of the Golden Frying Pan, which Riot revealed on August 23 via Twitter/X.

Little is known about the Golden Frying Pan at the time of writing, but there are rumors within the TFT community. According to Twitter/X user Kayna, one theory suggests that the new pan will create emblems that weren’t available for crafting. Another Twitter/X user speculated about the same theory while dropping potential crafting recipes. For example, a Golden Frying Pan and a bow could create a Multistrike trait Emblem.

What we do know is that “the Frying Pan is a powerful new tool to create more trait Emblems from eight Classes,” according to Riot. “It will also have new combos with the Golden Spatula and itself.”

Riot has included four images in the TFT Golden Frying Pan tease, showing possible combinations. Just like two Spatulas create a Tactician’s Crown, two Golden Frying Pans also create something special. There is even a chance to combine a Golden Frying Pan with a Spatula.

Fans will have to speculate about the Golden Frying Pan’s usefulness for a few more weeks, as Patch 14.18 isn’t due out until September 11. The next update, Patch 14.17, is scheduled for August 28.
