Jonathan Mingo ‘continues to impress’ in training camp
Jonathan Mingo reportedly had another big training day on Monday.

Fantasy impact

Mingo has recently received praise from coach Dave Canales and was often attacked during practice on Monday. He still has a big training camp ahead of him as he looks to take a step forward for the Panthers.

Garrett Wilson takes reps in the slot
Garrett Wilson is getting reps in the slot in minicamp, according to reports. Wilson took about 27% of his snaps in the slot last year en route to averaging 61.3 yards per game with less than ideal quarterback play.

Fantasy impact

Wilson’s continued versatility in the Jets’ offense is indicative of the strong role he’ll play in the 2024 season. With Aaron Rodgers back, Wilson’s ceiling will skyrocket. Currently, the 24-year-old wideout is a low-end WR1, but assuming the Jets can use him well, he could crack the top five.

Miles Sanders works with the first team
Miles Sanders joined the first team early in training for Carolina on Monday.

Fantasy impact

At this point in the preseason, it’s not surprising that Sanders is getting first-team reps. The new coaching staff is trying to figure out how to best utilize their players, and Sanders could be called upon to start if Jonathon Brooks is unavailable to start the season and Chuba Hubbard is injured. Chuba appears to be the favorite to be Carolina’s RB2 behind Brooks given his success over Sanders in 2023, with Sanders likely fighting for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart.

Fantasy impact

Irving was selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and his role appears to be promising this season. The team is pleased with how well he’s fitting into their new running scheme and he figures to be a fixture in the rotation this year. That could be bad news for Chase Edmonds, who didn’t perform much last year.
