Micah Parsons’ three-word message to Dak Prescott in Cowboys injury scare

Micah Parsons didn’t seem concerned about his left ankle after being carted off the field with 3:30 to play in the Cowboys’ 20-15 win over the Giants on Thursday night.

The Dallas linebacker was hurt while rushing the passer when Giants guard Greg Van Roten fell on his leg.

“I’ll be good,” Parsons told Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott after the game.

Parsons added that he was in pain but would be fine, according to The Athletic.

The three-time Pro Bowler was seen limping to the team bus after the game.

Parsons said initial X-rays taken at MetLife Stadium were negative and he will undergo an MRI exam on Friday.

“At this point I just froze it. I know very little,” Parsons said as he sat at his locker with his left ankle strapped. “I have an MRI on Friday and I’m going to try to come back next week.”

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported after the game that there was no indication that Parsons had suffered a significant injury.

Prescott said Parsons seemed to be in good spirits after the game.

“He’s a great player. A great playmaker,” the quarterback said. “I don’t watch much, but (he) made a huge run stop there on one of those last possessions. And then I honestly just hope it’s nothing serious.

“There aren’t many doubts or negative thoughts going through my mind, so yeah, I didn’t even want to think about anything important. I hope my thoughts are right and it’s something small. He looked in good spirits, so I’m in good spirits. We are in a good mood.”

Parsons, who finished with two tackles, was carted off the field with his left boot off and his foot exposed.

The Cowboys medical staff attended to him on the field and he limped to the sideline under his own power.

Dallas improved to 2-2 after defensive struggles in losses to the Saints and Ravens in Weeks 2 and 3, respectively.

The Cowboys face the Steelers (3-0) on October 6 in Pittsburgh.
