Lana Del Rey, Louisiana swamp tour guide file for marriage license in Lafourche Parish | Entertainment/life

Lana Del Rey and her boyfriend, the swamp guide, do not play (video) games and have officially applied for a marriage license in Louisiana, according to the court.

The famed singer and Jeremy Dufrene obtained the license in Lafourche Parish, about an hour’s drive from the New Orleans metro.

The application was filed with the clerk of the court in Thibodaux on September 23. The couple paid $32 in cash to obtain the license.

The couple, who recently made headlines for apparently driving through Hurricane Francine through the Bayou together, have 30 days to get married in the state of Louisiana or their license will expire.

Rumors about Del Rey and Dufrene’s relationship first began circulating in late August, when the pair were photographed together in England ahead of Del Rey’s performance at the Reading & Leeds Festival in 2024. The British tabloid Daily Mail later reported that Del Rey and Dufrene were spotted together at a local pub in London.

Dufrene, a 49-year-old Louisiana resident and boat captain with Arthur Matherne’s Airboat Tours, has known the “Summertime Sadness” singer for years. In March 2019, Del Rey posted photos on Facebook of himself and some friends on tour with Dufrene at Des Allemands.

Del Rey returned to Louisiana in May of this year for another swamp tour, tagging Dufrene again in a photo on Instagram, before headlining Hangout Fest in Orange Beach, Alabama. Nearly a month later, the singer posted more photos from the New Orleans area, including one of herself at a booth at Metairie’s eatery Tic-Toc CafĂ©.
