JoJo Siwa causes controversy over her mesmerizing ‘bulge’ on new magazine cover

Former child star JoJo Siwa has caused quite a stir online with a new magazine cover photo of herself posing in gender-bending outfits.

In one photo, Siwa appeared to have a bulge. Fans wondered if the photo was just a bold statement of her fashion sense or if she was deliberately trying to provoke.

JoJo Siwa also spoke about what it’s like to be in the spotlight. She said she’s forgotten what it’s like to be in public without people staring at her or wanting to take pictures with her.

The “Guilty Pleasure” singer sat down in a new interview with Ladygunn magazine, in which she talked about the work of a curator of attention and the amount of control that comes with it.

Siwa posed in several edits, looking stunning and exuding the seductive charm she has become known for. However, her cover photo featured a bump that set tongues wagging.

The 21-year-old singer and social media influencer wore a rhinestone chest plate in the shape of a male torso with a subtle six-pack designed by Kyle Farmery of Sparkyle Studio. She matched the bottom half of her ensemble with rhinestone underwear in the shape of a striking bulge.

Sparklye Studio’s official website states that the brand specializes in custom rhinestone embellishments on “anything you want, including clothing, homeware, accessories, shoes, bags and more.”

The provocative image raised eyebrows among people on X (formerly Twitter), with many wondering why Siwa was “wearing a dick”.

“Why does she have a boner?” one fan asked, with a crying and skull emoji. Another wrote, “Her only way to stay relevant is to shock and make people talk bad about her.”

A third person wondered: “Did she stuff socks or something?? But also: WHY??”

“This is weird to look at, I can’t really explain why. But I don’t like it. Maybe it’s because she still looks like a child to me,” someone else wrote.

“She’s trying too hard. People with real talent shouldn’t be trying so hard. She needs a new team,” said another.

Meanwhile, a handful of users found Siwa’s look beautiful and daring.

“How about if everyone could wear whatever they f-cking want,” one fan argued. “How about this? Clothes have no gender. All these comments prove how controlled people are by gender norms. This has to be that and that has to be that. You can’t wear that because whine, whine, whine…”

“Oh my god this is so camp I love it,” wrote someone else.

“We’re here at (New York) Fashion Week, even this with LADYGUNN; I’m like, I’m down, but we have to go with it somewhere,” she said. “We can’t just do a cool photo shoot and hope for the best. It’s got to be like, what the f— is she wearing right now? You know what I mean? It’s got to be what the next Halloween costume is.”

The former “Dance Moms” contestant also opened up about the amount of criticism she’s faced since coming of age and her relationship with the Internet.

“My favorite thing to do on this earth is to entertain people and make them laugh, whether they’re laughing with me or laughing at me,” she said. “Of course, no one likes to be hated, but I like to entertain, and that’s how people get entertained.”

She said she can’t remember what it means to be in public without people staring or asking for her picture taken, and then went on to talk about how she manages to disconnect from her full-time job as a celebrity.

“I’m definitely good at dissociating. It’s definitely a special talent,” Siwa said. “So whatever moment I’m in, I’m in it for that moment. But once it’s over, I’m out of it. You know what I mean? That’s the kind of skill that I’ve learned over the years that’s helped me.”

During an interview on Nova Smallzy’s “Surgery” podcast, Siwa spoke candidly about her experiences as a child star in Hollywood, revealing that she felt “abused as a child” and was involved in “shady deals.”

“I was screwed and abused as a child, but not in a sexual way; it was a business way,” Siwa said. “I think when you hear the dark stories of children … that child stars were manipulated or child stars were abused in some of the worst cases. I mean, it’s so disgusting.”

“But I will say that I really appreciate those child stars coming forward and being open about their stories, because those are things that I fortunately haven’t had to deal with. But it still happens,” she added, per DailyMail.
