Barcelona manager Hansi Flick happily took responsibility for the team’s defeat to Osasuna in La Liga on Saturday.

The Barcelona boss changed his team at El Sadar but saw his side comfortably defeated and suffer their first setback of the season.

This is what he had to say after the final whistle.

“You have to accept these defeats. We didn’t play very well. I think it is my responsibility to protect the players because they have played a lot of minutes. But I didn’t expect us to play like that,” he told Movistar.

“I told the team we have to keep going. We play on Tuesdays, on Sundays… and we are on the right track. We made a lot of mistakes and they did very well.

“Although I think there was a foul at the start of the second goal, I’m not entirely sure because I haven’t seen it yet, but that’s what I heard. If they score four goals against us, that’s too many.”

Barcelona will be back in action in the Champions League against Young Boys on Tuesday.
