The Vegas Golden Knights lost 3-2 to the Los Angeles Kings at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday night in their first home game of the 2024-25 season.

HOW IT WENTThe Golden Knights ended the first period trailing by two points despite a 14-save effort by Ilya Samsonov. Vegas pulled within one point in the second period with a goal by Noah Hanifin, before the Kings extended their lead to 3-1. The Golden Knights fought hard in the final 20 minutes with a goal by Tanner Laczynski, but the Kings prevailed 3-2.
