David Raya is doubtful for Arsenal’s Premier League match against Leicester City on Saturday.

The 29-year-old missed Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday with a thigh injury, with 16-year-old Jack Porter coming on as his replacement.

Asked if Raya would be fit enough to return against Leicester, Mikel Arteta replied: “We don’t know yet.”

Raya played the full 90 minutes of Arsenal’s 2-2 draw at Manchester City last Sunday but was later seen limping away from the Etihad Stadium after suffering a problem during the match.

Summer signing Neto, who was in the cup on Wednesday after previously playing in the competition for Bournemouth, could make his Arsenal debut if Raya is unavailable.

Mikel Arteta named five teenagers, including 16-year-old Porter, as Arsenal beat League One side Bolton to secure their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. They travel to Preston North End in the next round.

Arsenal are fourth in the table after Sunday’s draw with City, with 11 points from their opening five games.

The North London club welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday for Matchday 2 of the Champions League, before returning to Premier League action next Saturday against Southampton.
