Melania Trump provides new update on son Barron’s life at NYU and discusses ‘disagreements’ with her stepchildren

Melania Trump on Tuesday gave a new update on the lives of herself and Barron Trump, the child of former US President Donald Trump, at New York University, where some of his professors were critical of his father.

Speaking about her 18-year-old son during an appearance on Fox News’ “The Five,” Melania said Barron, who started taking classes at NYU’s Stern School of Business last month, is “aspiring” to college.

“He’s doing a great job,” the former First Lady said. “He loves his classes and professors. He’s doing well. He aspires and enjoys being back in New York City.

While Barron may be content with his new life at the university, some of the university’s academic staff may not have a positive view of his father.

JP Eggers, the business school’s interim dean, signed an open statement in 2020 with 20 other Stern faculty members warning that a Trump presidency posed a “threat” to corporate America, according to The Independent.

In her recently launched book, Trump’s third wife Melania revealed how she decorated Barron’s bedroom in the White House. The 54-year-old former fashion model from Slovenia also said she was “shocked by so much cruelty” over false rumors that her son had autism.

Melania Trump is opening up about disagreements with her stepchildren

Melania gave candid details in her book about her comparison to Trump’s children from previous marriages.

Before tying the knot with Melania, Trump shared four children with ex-wife Ivana: daughter Ivanka, 42, and sons Donald Jr., 46, Eric, 40, and a daughter Tiffany, 30, with Marla Maples.

The former model claims she never tried to take on the role of mothers of Trump’s other children. She writes in her latest memoir: “It required flexibility and openness, but every moment was an opportunity to connect, learn and grow in this new environment.”

She said her approach to developing a bond with Trump’s children has “always been based on love and respect.”

“I recognize their individuality and understand that my role as a stepmother is not to replace their mothers, but to foster a supportive and friendly bond. This perspective has allowed me to uniquely build meaningful relationships with each child,” she added, emphasizing that all individuals deserve respect and understanding, “regardless of disagreements.”

The admission comes amid rumors that Melania and Ivanka are not getting along.

The infamous “I don’t care” jacket that Melania wore may have been a message to Ivanka, according to Katie Rogers, White House correspondent for the New York Times, who wrote a book about her.

However, Melania insisted it was a message for the media

Amazon’s best-selling book right now is Melania Trump’s latest memoir. The former First Lady is promoting her book through a series of interviews and sneak peeks shared on social media.
