Roku Pro Series on living room wall

• Roku Pro Series 55-Inch QLED 4K Smart TV: was $799 now $698 @ Amazon

Among the best streaming sticks, we love Roku devices the best, so why not get a TV with its excellent interface already built in? But more than that, this QLED set has a strong set of features at a very competitive price, such as a 120Hz panel, and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG. You’ll want a soundbar if you pick up this TV, though.

• Sony OLED 83 inch BRAVIA XR A80L: was $4,999 now $3,998 @ Amazon

Go big or go home. This 83-inch OLED set is a year old, but when we reviewed the Sony A80L, we loved its picture quality as well as its surprisingly good sound, so you don’t necessarily need to pick up a soundbar (though we would recommend one of the best soundbars if you want a true cinematic experience at home. Our biggest issues were that it didn’t get as bright as competing sets and it’s not the best for gaming, but at this price, it’s very competitive for a massive OLED set.

Insignia 50” F30 LED 4K Fire TV

 • Insignia 43″ F30 4K Fire TV: was $239 now $139 @ Amazon
Looking for a cheap TV for your guest room, your downstairs bar, or your kid? The Insignia F30 (2024) isn’t going to blow anyone away with its performance, but it’s one of the cheapest 4K TV deals you can get. It features HDR10 support, DTS Studio sound, and a voice remote with Alexa built-in. It’s not always on sale, but right now you can get it a fraction of its normal price.

BLACK FRIDAY DEAL ALERT

I knew we’d see some Black Friday deals today. Best Buy has dropped the price of the 48-inch LG B4 OLED to $699 to rival Amazon’s big sales push. This is as good of a TV as you can get at this price.

As mentioned above, the B4 OLED packs in HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K/120Hz gameplay. It’s missing the better processor of the LG C4, but at this price, that’s definitely not a deal-breaker. Grab this one before it sells out!

DON’T BUY THIS $99 Amazon 2-Series HD TV

It can feel like people running these deal blogs just want you to buy everything. “EVERYTHING’S A GOOD DEAL!” They shout.

I’m not like that. Not everyone needs a super-pricey TV, so I’ll recommend some cheap screens, but never will I just say every TV is good, just buy one.

So what TVs should you avoid on Prime Day? I actually think the Amazon 2-Series isn’t a very good TV, despite its budget sticker price of $99. If you can spend another $50, you can get an actually good TV like the TCL S5 that delivers substantially better performance.

TCL S5 98-inch TV deal

Here’s another wild deal today: This 98-inch TCL TV usually sells for $3,000, but now it’s well under $2,000. Admittedly we haven’t reviewed this model, but its specs look solid. You’re getting a QLED TV with 120Hz/144Hz VRR for a great price.

How far should you be sitting from a 98-inch TV, you might ask? About 10 feet is as close as you’d want to sit. Any closer, and it might cause some eye strain. Still, if you have a large living room with lots of wall space, this is a room-filling option that won’t wreck your bank account.

TCL QM952G TV

Let’s talk TCL for a second. It’s one of the biggest TV manufacturers in the world, and it makes awesome affordable screens for the US market. They make for the perfect Prime Day TV pickup because they go from being affordable to being downright cheap. Definitely worth checking out all their deals today.

Here’s all the TCL deals going on today:

Sony X80J 4K TV with a Tom's Guide deal tag

Having spent years writing about TVs, I tend to gravitate towards the more expensive models. But that doesn’t mean that everyone needs a $3,000 OLED. In fact, most folks will be more than pleased with a budget option like the Sony X77L that’s available in a massive 85-inch screen size for under $1,000 today.

Unlike the other models in our list, the X77L is neither a Mini-LED or an OLED, it’s a plain ol’ LED-LCD TV. Its built-in 4K Processor X1 makes this TV look better than a lot of the cheaper competition, however, and it excels at both motion processing and upscaling. It also comes with Google TV, one of the best smart TV platforms, built in.

It’s not going to rival the top TVs from Samsung and LG, but this Sony is a great mid-range model at an unbeatable price.

Think LG is the only one out there making OLED TVs? Think again! Samsung recently got back into the OLED game and it’s been making some seriously good models. The flagship Samsung S95D OLED, for example, is one of this year’s best…but at over $2,000, it’s not exactly what we’d consider affordable.

Enter the Samsung S85D OLED that promises many of the same features for half the price. The 55-inch model is available for just under $1,000 for Prime Day, and it’s a great alternative to the LG C4 OLED.

Samsung QN90C prime Day deal

LIGHTNING DEAL Alright folks, this is a big one — it’s last year’s penultimate 4K Samsung QLED TV, a Tom’s Guide award-winner,  for half-price.

For under $1,500, you’re getting a sublime 75-inch QLED TV that we called “the QLED TV to beat in 2023”. It comes with four HDMI 2.1 ports and a Mini-LED panel that offers better off-axis viewing and less blooming than older LED-LCD TVs. We’ve seen it as low as $1,697, but today’s price is the lowest we’ve yet to see!

That being said, this is a Lightning Deal so it will sell out sooner rather than later. As of right now, almost 20% of this deal has been claimed, so you’ll have to act fast if you want to grab one before it’s gone.

Samsung The Frame QLED

Samsung’s The Frame is a perennial favorite on Amazon Prime Day, and this year is no different with the 65-inch 2024 model on sale for $600 off.

The latest version of The Frame comes with a new anti-reflection coating and Pantone color-verified screen that guarantees colors don’t desaturate in the sunlight. This deal in particular comes with a brown detachable bezel that will give the TV a nice, modern aesthetic.

Looking to save on a Samsung OLED TV? Amazon’s latest Prime Day has you sorted. One of my favorite deals right now is the Samsung 55″ S90D 4K OLED for $1,397.

This stunning TV comes fully equipped with Samsung’s new NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, HDR10+/HLG support, 120Hz refresh rate, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and built-in Alexa. It also offers 4K AI Upscaling to ensure all programs are crisp and sharp. It’s no slouch when it comes to audio either, you get Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite for 3D surround sound. All that and with a $400 discount makes it unmissable.

Sony Bravia 7 Mini-LED TV

If you’re looking for a stunning TV designed with the PS5 in mind, you can’t go wrong with the Sony Bravia 7 Mini-LED 4K TV. This 65-inch model is on sale for $1, 598 at Amazon, which is a very appealing $400 off. This is the cheapest Mini-LED in Sony’s 2024 lineup but is still worth considering as it boasts a wealth of premium features including support for almost all of the HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.

As noted, it’s also designed to take full advantage of the power of the PS5 with exclusive features that the Sony-created console can utilize. This includes bespoke picture modes that give you the best possible image quality, making colors sharper and details pop. If you take your gaming seriously, this is a television to consider.

85 inch TV deals

If you believe the poster line for 1998’s Godzilla, which I have weird affection for considering it’s objectively rubbish, “size matters”. So if you like large and in charge TVs, hoo-boy is this amazing deal on the Hisense QD7 OLED ever something.

Not only is this 4K monster boast an OLED screen, it has a super-speedy refresh rate of 144Hz. Also, did I mention that its ONE HUNDRED INCHES. Even coming from a dude who owns a 77-inch set that dominates his wall, that is a whole lot of TV.

The fact you can buy a 100-inch 4K for £1,999 boggles my teeny mind. This $1,000 saving on a TV that normally lists at £2,999 is one heck of a sizeable saving. If you have the living space to accomodate this goliath, what are you waiting for?

Hisense U6K Mini-LED TV in living room

The Hisense is our favorite budget choice in our best 85-inch TVs guide. Turns out, the 75-inch version is also a fantastic TV, never more so than when it’s selling for such an affordable price point. As someone who has forked out waaaaay too much on TVs in the past (and far more expensive ones than this), it’s remarkable to me you can pick up a 75-inch Hisense U6K mini-LED TV for under $750. That 38% discount translates into an eye-rubbing $1,252 saving. If you want a large and charge, brilliantly priced mini-LED that can achieve near OLED black levels, this would make a great Prime Day purchase.

Samsung S90D OLED TV deals post

The follow-up to what we consider to be the best choice for gamers in our best TVs buying guide (the Samsung S90C OLED), this year’s Samsung S90D OLED achieves its remarkable brightness in HDR, once again, thanks to quantum dot technology. Thanks to their lightning response times, Samsung TVs have always been a great option for fans of the best PS5 games.

And if you were lucky enough to secure a PS5 Pro, there aren’t many TVs out there that are going to make your favorite titles look better or feel more responsive than this amazing television. Thanks to that colossal $700 price drop, if you’re a gamer and can afford it, I’d be all over this Samsung S90D OLED deal if I was in your shoes.

LG C4 OLED TV shown in a living room

I actually used one of this TV’s predecessors for a couple of years, which is hardly surprising, seeing as we awarded it a perfect score in our LG C2 OLED review. What might slook slightly odd is that I used (and continue to use) a 48-inch TV as my second screen as part of my ridiulous (if awesome) home office setup.

The LG C4 OLED is another predtictably top-tier set from the South Korean manufacturer, and at this size, it will be the perfect fit for a second bedroom TV. Or, like I did with its predecessor, you could use it as a giant monitor to both work on and enjoy playing the best PC games on its fabulous screen. Just bear in mind, you’re going to need one big ol’ desk.

An LG G3 OLED TV with the PS5 game Returnal on the screen

Dave Meikleham — U.K. Computer Editor — jumping in here briefly. Though I mainly write about laptops for a living, my true passion when it comes to tech is truly TVs. Specifically OLED TVs. I’ve been buying OLEDs for over a decade, and I can hands-down say the LG G3 OLED is hands down the best TV I’ve ever owned. And it ain’t close.

Thanks to its Micro Lens Array Panel, it’s able to get nearly as bright as the best LED TVs. In our LG G3 OLED TV review, it reached an incredible HDR peak brightness of 1361 nits. By contrast, the LG C3 could only hit 820 nits.

The 77-inch LG G3 OLED that currently hangs from the wall in my living room is the best piece of technology I’ve ever bought, and this smaller 65-inch version is every bit as good. I can’t think of a stronger recommendation than that.

Vizio MQX Series 4K TV

The Vizio MQX QLED is one of our favorite midrange televisions, and the 50-inch model is currently on sale for Amazon’s October Prime Day event. It combines strong performance with a price tag that is easier on your wallet. The affordable price doesn’t mean it won’t impress either. This Vizio TV has 4K/120Hz support for consoles, a 1080p/240Hz gaming mode for PC gaming, HDR10/Dolby Vision/HDR10+/HLG support and easy access to all the best streaming services.

The deals aren’t exclusive to Amazon right now, over at Best Buy you can score this 48-inch LG B4 OLED for $699 that’s a huge $800 saving, and $50 cheaper than it was earlier this week. While the LG B4 is considered an entry-level OLED, it’s a great choice, especially for gamers as features four HDMI 2.1 ports, a 120Hz refresh rate, a brightness booster, and Game Optimizer Mode. This model is a Best Buy exclusive.

Amazon 4 Series 4K Fire TV

On the other end of the scale, there’s the Amazon 4-Series of Fire TVs. These relatively inexpensive models are a budget alternative to the Omni Series, and while sacrifices are made in the name of price, they still offer features like HDR support (HDR10/HLG) and an Alexa-powered remote control. Plus, you have access to the Amazon Fire OS for all your streaming needs. If you’re looking for a TV this Prime Day at a very low price, this 43-inch Amazon 4-Series Fire 4K TV for $239 is a good pick.

LG C4 OLED TV with deal tag

The LG C4 is the company’s flagship OLED, and one of the best models of the best-selling TV range yet. It offers dazzlingly bright colors and stunning picture quality. LG’s A9 processor powers it and features a 120Hz panel, Dolby Vision/ HDR10/HLG support, built-in Amazon Alexa and four HDMI 2.1 ports

In our LG C4 review, we noted the price was a significant drawback, but thanks to Amazon’s latest Prime Day even that’s not so much of an issue anymore. The entire range, including the massive 82-inch model, is on sale, with prices from $896.

Hisense U8N Mini-LED TV shown in a living room playing The Mandalorian

I’ve got to kick things off with the deal I’d be most tempted to buy today: The 65-inch Hisense U8N that’s now $500 off at Amazon. This is the TV that I use the most, and I’ve found it to be an incredible value for the money. It’s bright. It’s colorful. It comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports that you can connect your PS5 and Xbox Series X to.

I first fell in love with this TV when I was reviewing it earlier this year. In its lab tests, the Hisense U8N was putting out incredible stats (over 3,000 nits in HDR!) and that translated really well to what I was watching. Its color accuracy out of the box isn’t wonderful, but if you’re willing to play around with it, it’s one of the most vibrant TVs I’ve ever seen.

It’s hard to find a TV of this caliber for under $1,000, but the Hisense U8N pulls it off.
