Which players impressed in the Week 5 win against Saints?

The Kansas City Chiefs’ 26-13 win over the New Orleans Saints left the defending Super Bowl champions undefeated at 5-0 heading into their bye week.

Kansas City’s offense was efficient all game, with the lone exception being a red zone interception thrown by Patrick Mahomes when his pass was deflected out of the hands of JuJu Smith-Schuster and into the arms of former defensive lineman Khalen Saunders from the Chiefs.

Kareem Hunt’s return to Arrowhead Stadium and the Kansas City starting lineup was triumphant as he scored the game’s first touchdown and was a reliable option out of the backfield. Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy and Smith-Schuster also contributed significantly in the Chiefs’ latest victory.

Steve Spagnuolo’s defense was stingy and stepped up when necessary to close out the game again in Week 5. Kansas City’s defensive line, led by Chris Jones, provided plenty of pressure on Saints quarterback Derek Carr, and the Chiefs’ secondary consistency kept New Orleans on track. recipients ruled.

Mahomes delivered a much-needed passing performance, making hard throws and scrambling out of foul trouble all night. He finished the game with 331 yards passing and an interception tipped off a receiver’s hands as he rushed for 25 yards.

A great follow-up performance from Kelce proves that after the slow start, he is more than ready to produce bug numbers this season. The Chiefs tight end had nine catches for 70 yards in Monday’s win.

This was a promising performance for Smith-Schuster after Rashee Rice’s injury. He reminds the world that he is capable of playing that role. The veteran receiver finished with seven catches for 130 yards.

Taylor wasn’t at his best for most of Monday’s game and had multiple penalties called against him that hurt Kansas City’s drives in the first half. The veteran right tackle continues to be singled out by referees, especially for false start violations.
