Although there were only two MLB playoff games played today, they were both absolutely vital to their respective series. The Detroit Tigers were embarrassed in Game 1, only managing four hits the entire game against the Cleveland Guardians. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Royals gave the New York Yankees a run for their money before being ousted, 7-6.

Both the Tigers and Royals answered back with resounding victories, leveling their respective series. Here are the scores and the best highlights of the day’s action.
