International Education Week, a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of Education and State in celebration of international education, will take place from November 18 to 22. Each year, campuses across the U.S. mark IEW through programming and events that highlight the importance of international education and exchange.

At Vanderbilt, International Student and Scholar Services facilitates International Education Week, which traditionally includes a wide range of events. Examples of previous IEW events include:

• Foreign film screenings
• International game nights
• Language fairs and tables
• Panel discussions on global issues
• Information sessions studying abroad

The type of event is flexible, but each event must be related to international education, international/cultural exchange and/or living in a global environment. Proposals from student organizations are especially encouraged.

Interested in submitting a proposal? Please fill in this form no later than October 23 to be considered for this year’s International Education Week calendar. IEW 2024 is from November 18 to 22, but events taking place the week before are also eligible for the events calendar.
