Former President Donald Trump’s long-awaited return to Butler, Pennsylvania, took an unexpected turn Saturday night when he interrupted his speech to address a medical emergency in the crowd.

The rally’s momentum was briefly interrupted, however, when Trump’s attention was drawn to a commotion in the stands just minutes after his speech. Newsweek reporter Monica Sager, present at the event, observed the situation unfolding.

A man wearing a distinctive Trump hair hat appeared to direct emergency personnel to a specific location in the crowd. The situation quickly escalated as more security and medical personnel arrived in the area.

“There are now approximately ten security and medics present,” Sager reported, pointing to the growing number of emergency responders on site.

The stricken rallygoer was eventually placed on a stretcher where medical professionals led him away from the event.
