One of the bigger storylines surrounding Ohio State football entering the season was what the Buckeyes’ new offense would look like

Through four games, the Buckeyes offense was blazing hot.

Fresh off a 38-7 Week 5 win at Michigan State, the No. 3 Buckeyes return home to Ohio Stadium to take on Iowa at 3:30 PM ET in a big, nationally televised Big Ten matchup broadcast. Led by quarterback Will Howard, who briefly left last week’s game with an injury, the Buckeyes maintain the No. 4 scoring offense in the country under first-year offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.

Ohio State vs Iowa predictions, picks, odds

Bill Rabinowitz, Columbus Post: Ohio State 34, Iowa 13

“Finally, a game with a real challenge. The Hawkeyes’ defense will force Ohio State to be patient. Nothing is easy against Iowa. But the Hawkeyes’ offense, while improved from the weak unit in recent years, is not powerful enough to upset the Buckeyes unless dangerous running back Kaleb Johnson has a monster game. The Buckeyes defense is good enough to keep him from doing that.

Joey Kaufman, Columbus Post: Ohio State 31, Iowa 13

“Iowa has indeed improved on offense, a combination of Tim Lester replacing Brian Ferentz as coordinator and Kaleb Johnson emerging as a breakout star in the backfield. The Hawkeyes’ 32 points per game average would be the most since 2002. But the progress has been made.” haven’t been as dramatic with their passing game and are ultimately unlikely to be able to trade shots with the Buckeyes, who are averaging nearly 50 points per game with a new play-caller of their own in Chip Kelly. “
