Michigan football is in Seattle on its first road trip of the season to take on the unranked Washington Huskies tonight at 7:30 PM in Week 6 of the college football season. This is a replay of January’s national championship game, won by the Wolverines, 34-13.

Both programs have undergone major changes since that game, including hiring new head coaches, drafting multiple players into the NFL and starting new quarterbacks. The Huskies will also face the Wolverines for the first time in Big Ten action since joining the conference this summer.

After coming off a 27-24 win over Minnesota last week, Michigan has issues that need to be addressed, especially since their passing game is among the worst in the sport. Now coach Sherrone Moore’s first test is on the road in a hostile environment against Huskies first-year coach Jedd Fisch, a Michigan offensive assistant from 2015-16. Fisch resurrected Arizona in three years before coming to Washington.

Michigan vs. Prediction Washington, choices, opportunities

Tony Garcia, Detroit Free Press: Discounting Michigan is foolish, but winning this one seems like a tall order. It’s a 2,000-mile journey to a hostile environment on the West Coast, against a program looking to get revenge for losing the league title in January (even with new faces). UW passed the ball well and Michigan was sensitive to the pass. If UM doesn’t take an early lead, the past two weeks have foretold a possible collapse in the second half. It’s tough to win at Husky Stadium, where UW has won 17 straight games. The choice: Washington 26, Michigan 20

  • Spread: Washington with 1½
  • More/less total: 41½
  • Moneyline: Washington -120, Michigan +100
