Netflix on Tuesday started streaming a hit show, which originated on Showtime, in the United States and American fans went crazy.

When the time-hopping thriller originally debuted in 2021, it became the second-most streamed series in the cable network’s history, behind Dexter: New Blood.

The streaming giant announced that the first season of Yellowjackets was available by posting a BTS video of cast members Liv Hewson, Kevin Alves, Alexa Barajas and Samantha Hanratty DeAnda reacting to the news while filming season three on set in Vancouver.

The soon-to-be 29-year-old – who plays teenager Misty Quigley – said in the clip: “We’re thrilled to welcome you to the hive!”

Yellowjackets — which has a “certified fresh” 100% Rotten Tomatoes score for its first season — is already streaming on Netflix in a handful of other countries, including Australia and Chile.

Instagram user @bigdog1697 commented, “Binge watch all of season 1 on Netflix then wrap up season 2 on Paramount+!”

“Only season 1, where are 2 and 3?” Instagram user @blingbangs complained.

But the majority seemed to agree with Instagram user @lujobim_, who scoffed: “We don’t care, we want season 3 to come first!”

Production on the six-episode third season was postponed until May due to last year’s SAG/AFTRA/WGA strikes, and the cast is almost done filming.

“I threw a really fun almost-end-of-season dinner for our entire cast (and a few friends and family, before the wild speculation begins)!” Melanie Lynskey – who plays adult Shauna Shipman – wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank signed on as a recurring guest star for season three alongside Emmy nominee Joel McHale, who said on Instagram, “I’m very excited to be a part of this light romantic comedy series!”
