Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wide Receiver Trey Palmer out with concussion vs. Eagles

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were thin at wide receiver in Sunday’s game against the Eagles, and now they’re even thinner.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went up big in the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles, and that was partly due to a Trey Palmer touchdown. Palmer caught a nice pass from Baker Mayfield to put the Buccaneers up 14-0. Palmer then returned to the game, but at some point he was hit and was assessed for a concussion.

It turns out that he did indeed suffer a concussion, ruling him out for the remainder of the match.

In his place, the Bucs have wide receiver Sterling Shepard and Kameron Johnson recovering from an ankle injury, so there are options to replace him. WR3 Jalen McMillan also has an injured hamstring, so Tampa Bay is a bit thin on WR depth.

The Buccaneers are 24-0 at the time of writing, so his services are not explicitly necessary, but his touchdown did contribute and he will need to be replaced in the game going forward.
