Spotify appears to be down at the moment, with users on social media starting to report in the past hour that the app and website are not working. It doesn’t work for those of us The edge who have also tried it.

Downdetector shows a spike in reports of issues with the music streaming service starting around 10:40 a.m. ET. Just after noon ET, Spotify acknowledged the problem.

We have received some reports that Spotify is unavailable on various platforms. The support site also appears to be affected.

We are currently aware of the situation and the relevant teams are working on it.

The outage appears to affect both the app and the website. Although the app does not play music, the website is having trouble loading. When I tried to visit I got a server error. We have reached out to Spotify for more information.
